TrakCom - Network Control Center SOFTWARE
The TrakCom System is considered to be one of the most flexible, user-friendly passenger information software packages in the industry.  Adaptable for both large and small transit operations, this visual and audible information system is easily customized to meet specific communication needs. Emergency or scheduled visual AND audible messages are synchronized and sent to an integrated network of LED displays, monitors, and audio PA systems to inform, notify, or warn the public about current and future events.

Nearly all city, regional, or national rail and bus systems can benefit from the TrakCom networked software package. This centralized system simplifies operational control and allows for automatic, unattended operation.  

Riders will have more confidence in your transit system when they are kept informed about events, schedules, route changes, or special offers. Unique announcements regarding schedule changes for sporting events, holidays, weekends, etc. can easily be communicated to passengers.

The TrakCom System utilizes a Windows NT based client-server system. Each station or platform is equipped with an addressable Station Control Unit or SCU. A network file server is interfaced to the operator workstation(s).  The database is securely managed on the server, usually located at the CNOC (Central Network Operations Center). This database consists of all of the scheduled messages, audio wave files, transmission logs, and individual station reports. This data is maintained on the file server. .

The Hi*Tech LED displays are daisy-chained together and terminated at the SCU. Communications from the Server to the SCU can be customized to the owners’ specifications. Typically, dial-up modems, fiber-optic cables, or LAN connections are used between the SCU and the Central Control Server. Options are available to complete your system closure switch control, remote station keypad, emergency microphone over-ride are some of the options available.
